What to Bin, What to Sell, What to Keep

Upgrade Time and i really an torn between upgrading my PC set-up or going a completly diff route and getting a top spec Mac (Mac pro or Imac)

Now funds are an issue and currently im having a hard time justifying the spend on a Mac but i do so like the OS and the ability to run both OSX & Win XP

Let assume i spend £750 on a PC upgrade, what out of my current spec gets, Binned, Sold, Kept

Current PC Spec

Motherboard - DFI LAN Party NFII Ultra B
Processor - AMD Athlon 2500 Mobile (overclocked)
Memory - 1 Gig Ram 2x512 DDR (Corsair)
Video - AIW 9800
HD 1 - 2 x 37 Gig WD Raptors In Raid 0 SATA
HD 2 - 2 x 160 gig Samsung Spinpoint Raid 0 SATA
DVDRW - Lite-On - LDW-811S
DVD - Samsung DVD SD616
PSU is 600Watt
Monitor - Viewsonic VP201s

Hard drives, opticals and monitor, maybe ram but depends if you go intel or not.

Need to be more specific on the PSU, model / manufacturer / ATX 2.x?

But agree with all the above poster said, especially hard drives, since scrubbing the data can be a pain/worry and you have decent ones anyway

i would scrub the drives and un-raid them, raid is really pointless unless you are a big company using a server

If you go the AMD route with the asrock dual mobo then you could keep hold 9800 to keeo costs down temporarily. But £750 should get you a pretty nice rig either way.
