Hello!

At this moment I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.60 GHz and I don't know what to buy for upgrade form Intel's 3rd generation or 2nd.I know that i will need to chnage my motherboard and memory but now I want to buy the CPU something equal or better in maximum 140 U.S. dollars.

Thanks you!

At this moment iI have this config:

Mobo: ASUS P5KPL-AM SE
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
RAM: Kingstone 4 GB DDR2
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 1GB GDDR5
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
PSU: Sirtec Element Power 500 W
Case: Segotep C1 Black
Monitor: LG Flatron W1934S 1440 x 900

tbh rather than do what hes just put maybe pick up a second hand 2500k for about a ton second hand mobo 50-60 quid and buy some new ram.

I agree with this. i3 at £90 seem underpowered, when 2nd hand i5 2500K can be had for around £120. Even the 2nd hand non-K i5 2400/i5 2500 at around £90 would be better.

A lot of things would be better 2nd hand, i was giving him an option that he could look at.
