I upgraded all but the graphics cards of my rig at christmas, waiting for the 960 to be a good value mid range card, so i was a bit disappointed with what was released and all the reviews.

I'm currently still using a 4870, so i know anything will be an improvement.

My rig is mini-itx yet can still fit full length cards and i've got a Corsair CXM? 500W PSU so I'm a bit concerned about the potential power draw and heat from a 280x or 290.

My top top budget is £225 which i think i would only stretch to if i could grab a second hand 970 from somewhere. Ideally I'd like to stick to the £200 mark at max. So what would people advise to go for?

Thanks

As suggested the Powercolor R9 290 is a great deal at £199.99 check out this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18654658 the performance at max overclock for that individuals card is on par/beats my 290X which cost me £250 beating my max overclock also.
