Was going to start a watercooling project a while back based around this case but lately I've realised that the perfomance increase isn't really worth the cost. So, this case has been sitting around long enough. What do I do with all the free space?

Any mock ups, designs etc of what could possibly be done wouldn't go a miss!

2 computers in 1. I bet you could fit a mini itx, or even a micro atx system in the space at the top. :)

Things you could put in that space: Hamster cage, fish bowl, toaster, disco lighting...

How about an old 2nd hand osciloscope set up to monitor your voltages?

On a more serious note, I agree that a nice near-silent itx (or smaller) browsing/download setup would go nicely in there.

PK!

With all that space...

I'd build a gaming PC in the bottom/move current one in there, then fit an xbox 360 and a PS3 in the top (Assuming there's room) and mod the CD Drives on the front so you can still access the consoles disk drives. Paint the whole thing black, maybe with some subtle detail, and flog the whole thing for an extortionate price as the 'Ultimate Gaming Machine'. Of course, I claim 15% of the profit.

A few ideas!

Although the case looks big the layout is pretty terrible as you will probably find out, to maximise room in the bottom section I would dump the 3.5" drive cage for a starter.

Then cut out at least 2 x 120 holes in the bottom front panel and one next to the I/O shield.

That should give you plenty of airflow throught he bottom of the case.

Get some scythe HDD Dampner 2's in the 5/14 bays at the top for HDD's and the rest for DVD etc.

You could possibly cut out 2x 120 holes in the top for a double rad if you are into water cooling or just cut them out for ventilation as the case is rather tall.

As it happens I've already cut the front panel and plastics to allow for 2 120mm fans. Just need to add some mesh. Also I've stripped the 3.5" drive bays and will be putting HDD's in the top like you've said. Will possibly look at putting another 2 fans in the top as I really can't afford watercooling and can't be dealing with the maintenance!
