What to do - case or cooler?

So I picked up one of Gibbo's Vega 56's for my son's PC - a nice little upgrade on the rx480 that he's currently running. I went to install in the Fractal Design Node 304 case he's got and by a matter of millimeters it won't fit because of the H90 radiator (140mm)......

Any views on whether I should change the case or the cooler? If I go for the case, struggling to find something that would support the 140 rad. Any thoughts, or recommendations welcomed !

Get an air cooler if I were you. You have 165mm of clearance meaning you'll have a good selection to choose from that'll easily do the job

What motherboard is it? Some MITX boards have the CPU socket pretty close to the GPU slot.

It's a MSI z97i Gaming AC - must confess I'm leaning towards re-casing the whole lot.
