I have a nice new shiny system. My temps are very high at idle though (45c on Zalman CPNS 10x) and would like to get into some water cooling mainly because I have lots of room to spare but also my RAM is quite high and the Dark rock and Noctua solutions would mean I would then have to buy low profile... I have plenty of room in my Cooler Master Cosmos 2.... I just can't decide if I should buying a customer water cool kit or go for a corsair/Antec solution..(or fan cooler if solution is found)

What are my options. I am a complete stranger to the whole water cool market and I do not want to ruin my nice new computer :( I also don't want to pay a fortune....

Any help will be gratefully received!

custom water cooling can be expensive, anywhere from £200 to £400
u can get a decent kit like a EK-KIT H3O 240 HFX High Performance Watercooling Kit
YOUR BASKET
1 x EK-KIT H3O 240 HFX High Performance Watercooling Kit £189.98
Total : £200.78 (includes shipping : £9.00).

u can get other air coolers that will work with tall ram that would be the same or better performance wise than the closed loop systems eg. H100 and would also be quieter

45C idle could be down to a number of things and shouldn't hurt your pc. Your cooler probably isn't one of these things as it's pretty decent.

What are your:
Load temps?
OC settings, if any?
Room temps?
Fan speeds/airflow setup?

Water cooling's great and all that, but isn't really necessary unless you're going for looks and/or silly high clocks.
Troubleshoot first and then decide if you want/need to spend a couple of hundred quid on water :)
