Hi All I,m at a sort of crossroads , i am not sure if i should update my Windows Vista 32 bit to 64 bit , or wait until the new Windows 7 is out in late 2009 , any ideas ?

Would it cost you anything to upgrade to 64 bit? How much RAM have you got? If you've got 4Gb or more then I would. :)

If it'll cost you more than £50 to upgrade to x64 then just wait until Windows 7 comes out. Course there are no guarantees that late 2009 will stand as a release date. It could easily get knocked to early 2010 so you may have longer to wait for Windows 7, so it could be worth getting Vista x64.

Yeah you can use your 32-bit product key to install 64-bit, can't you? In which case all you need to do is get hold of a disk. Either ask a friend or get one for a few pounds from microsoft.

yeah if you have the retail version of Visa 32 bit , but if you have OEM then you have to pay more

Once again your OEM key is equally valid for 32 bit of 64 bit versions, you just need to get hold of the 64 bit media. If for you that means ordering the media from Microsoft then yes it'll cost you.
