What to do if you have a "ugly fish"

Sometimes I think the BBC are either putting these stories in for comedic value, or they are really scraping the barrel.

So they half blinded an animal in no distress or discomfort because some people found it ugly?

I'd have told them to **** off :)

Yeah exactly... that's just cruel. Imagine if they tried to do that do a monkey or lion in a zoo everyone would be up in arms...

This is just crazy....Usually in Nigeria the fish will be eaten by staff after several complaints.

Serioulsly, they did more harm to the fish.

I'm laughing so much at that, are ugly fish a reoccurring problem in Nigeria?

Ugly fish, ulgy fish what are they feeding you?

I bet this story is far less interesting than it sounds. What probably happened was that they had to remove the eye for health reasons and decided to remove the bump at the same time.

No not really but it will save plenty of monies used for surgery...Can you imagine the controversey it would generate if a fish was given surgery in Nigeria.

You do know what you call a fish when you remove the eye...

You shouldn't joke, what if your mother was a fish and was made to have her eye removed?
