Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB 1600mhz
6950 graphics card
antec power/case/wtaercooling

was thinking of changing mobo for one with 7.1 sound??

any suggestions??

yes ive tried it and it dont like 4.4 i run it a 4.0 anyway just to be safe.

i was thinking soundcard but

change mobo to one with 7.1 sound plus pci e x16 x 2 then in the future drop two big graphics cards in.

duno i just board i think lol

had a look at your mobo and it shows in its spec :

2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
* To configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver.

not sure how it works but might be worth looking into.

also you have 2 pci-e slots for gfx, and although it only runs x4 when crossfired it will enable you to run dual cards prior to updating to a new mobo.

i'd go with a soundcard, i couldnt believe the difference between onboard and a discrete sound card back when i bought one :-) i have an Xonar DX

your sig says antec watercooling aka h60 / h80 range? could replace the stock fans if u havent already / think that they are loud? could try gentle typhoons 1850 + fan controller or Asaka Apaches / Vipers?

larger ssd and use ur 60gb for origin / steam games?

possibilities are endless :p haha

i just followed a guide on here and it crashed at 4.4 every time duno bad luck maybe.

yes i think sound card is the way to go for the moment im waiting for gamers reviews on the razer taimat 7.1s

adam ive done the fans as they were v loud gentle typhoons as you sed

thansk again guys

Get an SSD. Seriously, biggest upgrade ever. Makes everything feel snappy and responsive, like a high-end rig ought to.

120GB boot drive doesn't cost too much these days, then just run everything non-essential (not everyday use) on a mechanical drive.

Have you tested 4.4 for stability? Run intel burn test and prime 95 for a few hours. up the voltage slightly for stability if needed.

Regards upgrade, what keyboard, mouse, screen and speakers are you running? Upgrades here can make a world of difference to your experience/enjoyment.

yes its all good thanks been playing battlefield 3 aswell and its all good

been thinkin........

how much more fps would i see will with gtx670 over my hd6950
