What to do with 29 UltraSparc II CPU's

A while ago a mate of mine who used to work in a Sun refurb centre bought 29 UltraSparc cpu's - 2 x 900Mhz and 27 x 733Mhz. They were all pulled from working modules, but the modules had to be 'recycled' due to laws regarding reselling Sun kit at the time or some such pap.

So - any ideas on what to do with them? I have tried selling them but people just look at me in a funny way and say no. Belt buckles for geeks maybe? (joke).

Dunno what to do. Seems such a waste to dump them and I understand that my mate did part with a fair chunk of ££ so they must be worth something to someone.

Hang on - I made a mistake. The cpu's are UltraSparc 3's.

Not that it changes anything...

If they had the Sun modules with them then I would possibly be sat on a bit of cash. (These cpu's are originally housed in a module which then slots into a Sun motherboard).

SPARC 3s are worth a fair bit but only if sold by Sun. try them yourslef in a SUn server and you'll invalidate the warranty. If you know they work you could try selling them to a Sun aproved maintenance company, otherwise try them on eBay but don't expect to get much for them.
