Hi guys,

I have a domain name which I registered in 2004 but which I haven't paid any attention to for a few years. I just looked at the WHOIS info, which says this:

Code:
Registrant:
       (me)

    Registrant type:
        UK Individual

    Registrant's address:
        (my address)

    Registrar:
        No registrar listed.

    Relevant dates:
        Registered on: 11-Nov-2004
        Renewal date: 11-Nov-2010
        Last updated: 07-Jan-2009

    Registration status:
        Registered until renewal date.

    Name servers:
        No name servers listed.
Now I'm a bit stumped. If I wanted to revive this domain, how would I go about it, as there's no registrar listed? Would I have to go directly to Nominet? Would that cost me lots of money?

The domain has been 'detagged'. What this means is that your registrar, since your contract has ended with them, have disassociated themselves with your domain.

You will need to go to Nominet (http://www.nominet.org.uk/registrants/maintain/changeregistrar/) and change the TAG to a registrar of your choice. You can then renew the domain at market rates rather than Nominet's direct fee of £80 + VAT.

HTH :)
