Well i recently like many other users purchased a proliant microserver. I am very pleased with it, i put windows server 2008 on it.
I currently have 3 computers i used on a regular basis.
Desktop - Windows 7
Laptop - Vista Business
Server - Server 2008
I also have a PS3, xbox 360 and squeezebox.
At them moment the Server runs PS3 fileshare and Squeeze Server as well as all my work/videos/pictures to distribute to the rest of the machines. I tried setting up the print server but my printer has no 2008 drivers.
My personal experience with networking is quite lacking, i have been looking into using VMware to setup my desktop and laptop as virtual machines so i can constantly give them fresh installs if i change hardware etc etc.
How hard is this to set up? Is there any other fun techie things i can do with my new server. I like most overclockers like to get the maximum out of each purchase, i also like reading and research so if anyone has good articles etc please just drop the links!
