Right because I don't want to take my laptop apart completely because it will be a pain in the ass, what do we think will be the easiest way of removing and installing the new power jack?
As you can see the wires are underneath that plastic plate. I've already taken the two broken black wires from out of it.
The connector connects into the motherboard up towards the top right a bit and is too big to slide underneath the plastic plate.
The fan goes on top of the section here, the plastic plate doesn't seem to be doing anything really because the fan is screwed in so it isn't supporting that, so I'm thinking of just cutting away the part where the wires run under. The outside hole where the wires go through looks big enough to fit the mobo connector through.
What do we think?
