Hi all

Just wondering what you guys would suggest to do with my pc next. Ive currently got a Geforce 980ti, 8GB ram and a standard i7 3770. Been thinking of upgrading to a Overclockable CPU, which would also mean a new motherboard.

Wouldnt mind a new monitor either but looking at the prices of the 4K, Gsync monitors being more than 500 quid I didnt know whether it would be better to wait for more screens to come out and the prices coming down abit. Dont really think shelling out that money if theres not a huge difference from a normal Full HD monitor.

Any opinions guys? Cheers all.

Being able to overclock the CPU would mean it is more likely that you will be able to hold a consistence 55-60fps+ in most games (when graphic card is not the bottleneck); but if you are do go for 4K, with your single 980Ti you'd probably looking at frame rate around between 40-55fps with after turning down some settings, so CPU not being able to be overclocked would mean very little (unless you play games like mmos or RTS that are extremely CPU intensive).

If I was in your position, I'd just go for a 4K Gsync monitor, and wouldn't think about CPU being bottleneck (the single 980Ti would be the bigger bottleneck for most games at 4K) unless I got the money to grab an extra 980Ti to SLI.

Your looking at massive money for a 4k G sync monitor though arent you pal? Do you know much about them? There doesnt seem to be many that are 4k and Gsync???

I wouldn't go 4k with a single 980ti not sure what res you game at but a 2k monitor would better for you. I myself wouldn't touch 4k until we see what pascal brings. Although I'm sure some member are loving their 4k monitors
