What to do with my spare Macbook?

I bought a Macbook last year for presentations and library working at university, and while it was incredibly useful there, now that I'm not out and about at any time, it's just been sat in the cupboard, occasionally coming out to test new software I fancy using on work Mac Pros.

Any suggestions as to what to use it for now? I already have a webserver available to me and a far better desktop at home. Also reluctant to sell it, since I may need one in the future or for when I visit back home.

Leaning against your favourite chair in the lounge, ready to be picked up, woken up and used on your lap at a moments notice.

Guess I made a mistake posting that image. Yes, it's London, yes, it's overpriced, yes the toilet's shared and there's no proper oven, but it's close to my (first) job, so I'm really happy with it.

Thing is, when I visit home or go on holiday, I don't need a decent laptop, just one with an internet connection at all just to check my regular haunts. It'd probably be even more useful to have Windows on it anyway to sync properly with my primary desktop, so I might just sell this deal and grab a cheap netbook, maybe make a couple of hundred quid in the process.

Everyone has to start somewhere mate :)

Everyone starts somewhere, I like it thoe.

Id sell it and buy a netbook or something if you still want something portable.

Aye, I'd already posted a topic over in Laptops asking if anyone could recommend me a cheaper netbook for light gaming and web browsing. Cheers.

In Japan, especially Tokyo, that would be a normal size pad for a young man working in the city. I watched a couple of Andrew Marr's Megacities and pads smaller than that are not uncommon and ridiculously expensive. And then there's the pods. Unfortunately they're not up on iPlayer right now, but if you get the chance Megacities is a really interesting watch. </offtopic>

Shared crapiere I expect. Unless he has to force it down the plug hole. Not a good start to the day mind.

This is hilarious, crapiere is a word I should hear more often.

In regards to the MacBook, if you could use the money then I would sell it. Otherwise they age really well and would be a good workhorse for years to come.
