What to do with old PC games - Bin them?

I’ve got a load of old PC Games, most of them seem to date as far back as 1990. I seriously doubt I’d play them anymore. Some of them wouldn’t even run on the latest PC’s without some type of emulation or DOS mode for Windows XP.

I tried to offload a small selection of them on ebay, just really asking for the postage charges, but I didn’t sell one.

The titles are old.

TOCA (the first one)
Grandprix
Screamer Rally
Wing commander
Total Air War
Monkey Island
Descent 1 , 2
Doom 1
Hexan
Tie Fighter
X Wing
Dark Forces 1 ,2

And so on… Hardly ground breaking games anymore, but nearly all of them are old, mostly dos games. I was going to just throw them, as I’ve already tried to pass them on via ebay (almost for free), mates don’t want them, asked around friends and family no one wants them. Haven’t got the boxes anymore, just the CD case and the game, even the manuals for them are gone.

So, if anyone has a charity they support, and knows they take CD PC Games, this is where they will go. I’ve got too much clutter around the house, and if a charity shop won’t take them, in the bin they go.

I’m not posting them one by one, for cherry pickers. It’s the whole lot, to one shop either charity or the best one – trash bin..!!

Most charity shops will take them :)

PDSA do for sure :)

Just searched for PDSA, one where I am. Plus its help for needy pets. If they can make use of them, and it helps someones pet... sounds like a good idea, got a soft spot for animals..

They were great games. I've got lots more then just this small list too many to list here including Fifa football (the first one for PC CD), fifa world cup, NHL 95, longbow apache, Euro Fighter, Sim City, Populous, Syndicate Wars, Need for Speed, world super bikes, Sam n Max, Day of the tenticle, Full Throttle..

I used to be big into gaming, then about 3 years ago lost interest... I'd lost interest since about 1999 to be truthful, but last year even sold my PS2. I just don't have the time, or even want to play computer games anymore now...

they are going to a charity shop..
