Ive got an Atom netbook with a smashed screen and no keyboard stuff missing etc but it does still work I can Remote Desktop to it etc..

What could I use it for?

I have a file server, what would you use it for? Some kind of firewall or something? Just looking to make use out of it, the parts aint worth much and its very low power so is fine being on all the time.

Butcher it. Take the HDD and put it in your system. ;) That's what I'd do.

Less power consumption (Although you said not much but still) and still get access to the files. Can share them on the network if you really fancy connecting to them from other PCs.

I think that would be favourite... to be honest, if you're (understandably) not interested in replacing the broken parts, I can't think of anything else you could usefully do with it, particularly as you already have a server.
