What to do with second 360 with dodgy DVD drive?

My 2nd 360 crashed out on tuesday night (just in time for my first week off work in over 6 months!) and yesterday I picked up a pre-owned arcade as my previous one was 2 years old and it was the DVD drive that had gone, no errors or anything so not covered in the extra warranty and didn't fancy arguing with the retailer about the SOGA.

So new one is working fine, but I have my old one sitting here that is fine except for the DVD drive. What could I do with it? How much could I expect to get selling it as broken (Its a premium but the hard drive is now with my arcade).

Why not use it as a media extender in your bedroom or something?

I believe a poster here is looking for broken xboxes. Think he is moving house though and will be offline for sometime

Would that not require me to have a wireless adapter as well though? Don't really want an ethernet cable trailing from my living room. Did think about it but didn't seem practical as only time I would watch stuff in my bedroom is just before bed which would require me to leave the PC on as well.

Replace your DVD drive? Shouldn't cost more than £25 for the disc drive although you'll have to flash it with your key.
