Hi,

I'm looking for some ideas please, maybe someone has dealt with something similar?

The grid protrudes from the ground and the grey bit up to the paving is concrete so I cant put grass around it, the previous owner covered it up with loose bricks which I want to remove

I am going to dig up the grass and re-turf to the right and I was hoping I could turf around the grid but after removing the bricks and discovering the concrete I cant

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks, not sure I'm willing to smash out the concrete, knowing my luck with these things I'll end up smashing a hole into the sewer, I figure the previous people must have left the concrete for a reason

What about permanently cementing the some of the bricks in around the edge and filling it with loose stones? I only idea I can come with that doesn't involve anything drastic and too much time/money

Got one on the other side, good suggestion though

I think I'm going to make a border from the brick in the pics and fill it with loose slate stones and then put a bird bath in the middle

Never done anything with brick before so going to read up on how you make it level, suggestions greatly received, thanks

I've got a plan thanks guys, well two really, one to try first and a backup if that fails. I'll post the results in the coming weeks. Noting amazing TBH but will be an improvement to what you can see now
