I have two old monitors just lying around. They are completely crud but i'm just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could use at least one for. Maybe link it up to my current work station to display something?, i'm not to sure, just bored and wanted to see if I could do anything with one.

Any opinions are appreciated

I have a 15" NEC as a second screen showing Open Hardware Monitor among other things. Means I can monitor temps/voltages/processes while gaming.

Stick another screen on your setup, I did and i had to stop the other day as my bro's hdmi cable snapped and he took mine.. I'm dieing without it! i use mine for browsing the web while gaming as i dont have to keep alt + tab'ing.

Here's an idea, something I do myself.

Turn the spare screen 90 degrees so its sitting on its side and use the driver to rotate the screen in software. So a 1680x1050 screen becomes a 1050x1680 one. The beauty of this is books/magazines/comics look fantastic and no need to scroll.

Browsing is also transformed with this aspect ratio.

You don't need a fancy monitor arm to do this, you can rig up your own ghetto solution involving blutac, sticky backed plastic and cereal boxes (blue peter presenters would be proud of you)

Haha, I was going to do this but I have no means of rotating it, I would have looked at web pages and iTunes on it but I don't fancy using blue tac and so on :p
