Im a complete n00b when it comes to RAM so here goes

Ive got 1.5gb RAM as in sig

Ive got a stick of 512mb @ 3200 and a 1gb Stick @ 2700.

Is the 1gb stick slowing the other stick down. Show i take it out. Or should i just get a 2gb Kit? If so what do you recommend, i dont want to pay over the odds with the holiday just around the corner!!!

Whats gone be the performance difference if i take the 1gb stick out?

I did a test when i came in today to see how much the 1gb was slowing the system down. I did a cold boot to accessing the start menu

with 1gb in it took 2mins 16
without it took 1min 40

Only problem with it out is how much i can multitask!
