Sequoia is spot on, you telling me as a parent there is a problem is a whole world away from me finding out my teenaged daughter has been sleeping at your house from another source.

She's undoubtedly flattered that an adult is taking an interest in her and treating her like an adult. To be honest in her head she's probably already blown this up into some kind of relationship. You must tell someone, if only to cover your own back.

No matter how much you like this girl, how good company she is etc you have got to sort this.
 
First of all, well done on getting her away from those who were doing her no good.

I agree that you need to be mega careful here, and although the people saying you need to speak to her parents have an excellent point, be aware that if they call her on it, she may well panic and to save her own skin put all the blame on you. I mean, sat in front of her parents, who are livid at what she's been up to, at her age (i'm assuming she's underage), parents can be very scary people and it may seem like a far easier option to say 'but he made me'. The parents will more than likely believe her over you and you could end up in as much lumber.

Hopefully that wouldn't happen, but you need to be aware that it might.

I honestly dont know what you should do, you're in a very awkward situation, through no real fault of your own other than to be a bit daft to let it go on.

Good luck and hopefully you'll be able to think it through with help from us and remember we are here if you need us! Sequoia & Pebbles in particular are spot on imo.

(edit: just realised there are 4 pages not 1 but point still stands! and I wouldn't go to the police)

And for you that say you got taken home by the local bobby cos you were out up to no good - my stepdad was the local bobby, I was constantly running away from him :D

Quoted for complete truth. I have given my friends sister a lift a few times, never would I dream of letting her stay over though.

The flattered bit that pebbles talks about I think is the general way that she's probably thinking. Pretty spot on imo.
 
If shes over 16, then your fine, if shes under 16, then this has the potential to get very messy very quickly, and its not a slim chance, it happens often. How old are you buddy, and how olds the girl in question? I dont think anyones guna judge you here, its obviouse to all that you did it all out of innocence if your telling the truth.

If your not, well do be it, but youve asked for advice about something thats completely legal, so i dont see a problem.
