What to do?

Need a quick answer here, I have ordered my spec (finally) and was expecting it tomorrow, but the heatsink is out of stock...

I originally ordered a Scythe Ninja Plus... but should I change that for either the ThermalTake Sonic Towers or the Big Typhoon - which ever is best really!

I'd go for a Big Typhoon. Isn't the Sonic Tower designed to be run passively? The BT would be quiet enough anyway.

if you bought a retail CPU cant you just use the stock cooler until the Scythe comes back into stock?

Didn't really want to rip the stock heatsink off once the Ninja shows up to be honest

Edit: Especially when using Artic Silver too... you might also like to know its the E6600, lol.

Wow?! I never thought of that

I didn't mean to literally rip it off... just I have never needed to change heatsinks mid-operation of a new computer.

No matter, so the best thing to do would be to cancel the current sink and re-order it seperatly or go for Big Typhoon?

never used the BT so cant comment on its performance, but its quite popular.

I'd hold out for the Scythe tho personally, and just use the stock in the mean time
