What to do
my current system
Asus A8N-E with a x2-4200 cpu 2 gig pc 3200 and a nvid 6800le

i have been given a pc with the following spec and the question is should i strip my old bits out and rebuild with these

Asus P5B delux board
Pentium D 945 3.4gb presler
1gb ddr2 5300 crucial balistx
HIS x800 256mb ddr3 graphics
And if i do swap over what would be the best bang for buck upgrades i dont play many games so ithink the graphics would be ok

It wouldn't be an upgrade tho.. it's a sidestep, if anything.

both systems are practically identical tbh..

the X800 be a very slight upgrade over your current card. i expect it may even be hardly noticable

I'd keep the X2, board and ram then add the x800. That would be the best upgrade.

Best approach would be to sell the stuff you received (x800 included) and use the cash to get a better graphics card.

Hi thanks for the replies just put the X800 GTO in my AMD system see how it goes might sell the other bits on if there is no benefit in swaping around
