My 7970 has had to be RMA'd as it is kaput. I want to go back to NVidia, do I buy the Gainward 680 on offer or hang on for a few days and hope the 780 comes in at around the same price.

I'd wait for the GTX 700 series.

Even if they are disappointing, I'd expect the pricing on the GTX 600 series to fall immediately afterwards while retailers try to shift their stock.

770 is only thing in competition with 600, and that's only the 680.

I wouldn't expect to see 670 price drop until 760 Ti released (mid-June).

@OP prolly worth waiting to see 770 pricing, it's basically gonna be a slightly improved 680 with a titan cooler.

I really want at least 3gig or more than likely 4gig. Rumours are the 770 is only going to be 2gig so it would have to be the 780.
