What to do..

So,

I am planning on finished my project I started on here by the end of the year, with a nice water-cooled rig and custom painted case.

I'm looking for a bit of direction on what to do when which is best for performance and price. The current deals have got me thinking to buy a pair of graphics cards now, as the price to performance ratio I can't see a better time to do so.

So do I.

1. Wait for the next gen AMD cards and pay that extra for the newer tech?
2. Grab 2 7950's/670's now along with a 4670k & Mobo?
3. Wait and see how everything pans out?

My Current rig will begin to show it's age with next gen games I can imagine, and I'd like to have a nice rig underwater to plough through them all, whilst keeping cost sensible. Current have: Phenom 965 @ 3.4ghz, HIS ICEQ 6950, 8GB Vegeance, Asrock Extreme3. < As you can see, it could do with replacing soon.

Advice please!

I'd wait tbh, I've put the gpu in my build on hold just to see what the new amd's are like!

You never know it might force the 770/780 down in price?

I'm in the same position too, looking to build a new system about £1500 next month, my current rig has has xfire 7950s so don't know if I should get another 2 or wait for the new cards.

I was just trying to justify whether buying the cards that are available now at a fantastic price would be a better idea than buying the next tech at a more premium price.

Waiting does make sense and was my #1 plan anyway.

This is my 1st build but I'm holding out just to see what amd have to offer or if nvidia slash their price. I think either way the paying public will get a good deal in end september/October.

im getting 7950CF 2moz, the way i see it is, will you get the same performance for the same price with the new AMD cards? not really, so im getting two and waiting till they start to struggle (they overclock well as well!)
