I was just wondering if owners of 7600 gts could let me no what kind of settings i could expect if i were to buy one?

im not too interested in 3dmark scores etc. would prefer details in more perspective, i.e. i'l want to put the res up high and have the quality settings on max!

I mainly play far cry, doom 3, fear, what kind of settings could i play these games at :D

cheers in advance

i think.... im no expert... compared to the performance of the 7900 it will be poor.

i think it will just be decent.. not great.

i think you get what you really want which is the 7900 :p.. spend your money.. you will only spend it on something else

get the XFX extreme 7800gt its on offer at the mo ive just bought one and its amazin its also a fair compromise between the 7900 and 7600GT

Ye iv been looking at them 7800s there awesome value but the only problem is i dont think i'l be able to afford a new gpu for about another 4 weeks so there's the possibility of them being all gone :(

depends what u call nice levels of AA, you might aswell spend the little extra and get the xfx 7800GT then u can play games with MAX AA

The 7600GT is about the same as a 6800Ultra / X850XT, so check out the benchies for those and you can see what's what.

It's slightly faster than that (about x1800xl speeds). Plus consumes less power/generates less heat.

Also, these 7600GTs havent had their price dropped yet since release, once all the 6600Gts are sold, expect these to drop down into that level.

The 7600GT = 6800Ultra / 7800GS (AGP) performance. Supposed to replace 6800GS was my thinking.
The 7600GS = bit faster than 6600GT.

At the right price the 7600GT could be a good deal.

lol thats what i keep thinking... but could save myself £100+ so was just wondering realy!

I think that the 7600 GT is a good card. However having had aspirations of the 7900 GT i think you should go for it.

The 7900 GT is worth the extra 80 quid in my book.Especially if you have the funds.

Ye i think i'l save the extra money and go for the 7900gt and then overclock it! i dont fancy a 7800 as like people have said they use more power and generate more heat, thanks for your help everyone.. still think the 7600gt is a great card for the money!

You're concerned about spending an extra £80 on a graphics card when you've wasted quite a lot by buying an SLI board only to run a single card:confused:

But yeah, get a 7900GT.
