Hi everyone.

So close to pulling the trigger and upgrading from 1650 x 1050 at 22 inches and 60hz to 1920 x 1080 at 24 inches and 144hz.

Persuade me please, tell me how great it is and how I should buy the monitor. Why will my experience be like? Pros? Cons? Should I just save up for a g-sync/adaptive sync monitor?

Games are smoother especially on FPS. Which monitor are you thinking of going for?

If your wanting G-Sync then save up but you'll have to go with a 27" more then likely.

I'm thinking about grabbing one of these.

It'll be a vast improvement over my Samsung samsung 206bwb which I now realise is a 20 inch monitor!

G-sync sounds fantastic, but correct me if I'm wrong but a high refresh rate monitor will allow my games to feel smoother anyway?

Can't speak for that monitor as when I went for 144hz+ I picked one of these up.

Yes the quicker refresh rate will make your games feel smoother, shouldn't have any problem with the gfx card you currently have.

Thanks, and tearing should also be less of an issue?

I just saw the monitor posted as a B-grade clearance sale so I couldn't resist for £120 delivered. Should be with me tomorrow for a good gaming session on the weekend!

It will help against that yes, Just make sure you set it to the correct refresh rate in Windows as a lot of people forget to do that and leave it on 60hz.
