what to expect

Hi,

Ive just brought a DFI LanParty UT NF3 Ultra (Socket 939) Motherboard, Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler, Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3. And next payday Im going to get a AMD Opteron UP 144 San Diego.

Do you think i would get a good overclock with my new hardware? Cannot use any of it, need the cpu! its so annoying.

I would be happy with 2.7/2.8mhz or is that pushing it?

rest of my specs are
maxtor 200gig
hiper typeR 480w

It depends on the stepping of the cpu - have you any ideas as to what it might be?

I think it should be possible.

But its a gamble, all overclocking is a gamble, no one can give you certain answers

you have nearly exactly the same setup as me, and i got 2.8 on my opty

Would say 2.5 minimum.

What sort of load, idle temps you getting m8?
