Finally put together my little CCTV setup, however, to my surprise, all the cases I shortlisted appear not to come with any form of blanking panel to cover slim optical drive slot on the front of the case. I'm not going to be using any media drive in what essentially is now a linux server box, so I need to cover the gaping hole on the front panel with something.
By design, considering lack of space it would be a perfect place for a little exhaust fan assembly or card media reader - PC market is full of those, but after I had a quick look around, I haven't found any places selling either blanking plates/covers for slim optical slot spaces or any other after market solutions for the hole in ITX case. Am I just bad at googling stuff or something - what do others do with that space if you don't want laptop dvd drive in your case?
