What to get: 360 & GOW OR Wii & Zelda:TP?

I'm stumped for my birthday and as i'm off to get a car, i've only really enough for one. My b-day is the 8th, so the same day as the release of Twilight Princess. Maybe that's an omen to get that being as Ocarina of Time is also my fav game of all-time.

Reassurance needed basically.

It's a strange one this because Zelda > GoW, but at the same time 360 > Wii imo.

Tough choice but I would probably edge towards 360 and GoW.

Get whichever genre you like the most, since they are completely different.

The console is secondary here unless you actually have a preference. You won't be dissapointed with either.

One thing that may push you a little more one way or the other..
Are you going be using it on a HD TV or a PC LCD ..

Zelda will be an all time classic, but GoW is just fancy graphics and average gameplay.

But I'll have to go with the 360 as it will have more games I want to play.

I'd go for Zelda

over 100hours of gameplay and new controller system. plus ocarina of time being an all time fav of yours.

GOW is good graphics with great gameplay. but i think you'll be happier with Zelda imo

LOL, 50/50 at this point. I'm craving some graphics after getting a bit tired of messing with PC game profiles and just want a bit of plug and play carnage. On the flipside, DeFrEaTs and Phate are not helping my decision at all.

It'll be a close call and will probably mean if Zelda isn't available on the release data, i'll get the 360.

I'll only be gaming on a 32" Toshiba my Dad got about 8 years ago, but I may just knock £350 off my first car and get a Hanns G 26" HD thingy.

Are there other games on the 360 that you would like? Also have you checked out future releases on the Wii?

I would go with the one that you think would last you longer past these two games. Zelda imo will last longer for most people over GOW, but think about future games too

Personally the Wii doesn't interest me in the slightest, Zelda being the only game that does, but I wouldn't buy a console for one game.

If you have the money then i would get the xbox360 now..and then it be easyer to save up to get the cheaper Wii later..

This is what i normally do..buy the dearest things first as it easyer to save for the cheaper items i want later..

To be honest you would probably be very happy with whichever you go for. If you have the spare cash now maybe go for a 360, since it'll be much easier to fork out on a Wii in the future due to its low pricetag. THere may also be some nice bundle deals for the Wii.

Saying that, you maybe waiting a while depending on availability this side of xmas and early January.

If it was a choice between Wii + Zelda or 360 + Gears I'd go with the Wii + Zelda, however thats only looking at the systems from the point of view of playing those 2 games, on the larger scale I'd go with the 360 just because it has a larger amount of good games to choose from and tbh atm the Wii doesn't really have anything except Zelda & that's coming from someone getting one on the 8th

Wii doesnt seem as hyped to me, I think it'll be getable plus their selling more of them.

Get the Wii I think, I feel it in my bones that this is what you really want. Plus on the logical side, the wii is newer and whichever console may the better it will be easier to swap to the darkside ala 360, later on (if need be). Just because its been out longer - imo

Also you have HDTV or not ? Obviously get wii for defo if not

I was in exactly the same boat as you, and I got the 360 & GOW for its current and upcoming great games and Live.

Come to think about it, as i'm in my last year of Uni, I think it's actually more appropriate to get a 360. If I become too engrossed in Zelda, i'll end up not finishing my project, lol. That's based on GoW not having as much longevity as Zelda:TP.

I can give Zelda my time in the Summer next year.
