What to go for:: Aego Ms & Fatality or Xtrememusic?

Folks,

I'm planning on getting a set of (Black Aego M's ) & I was thinking of getting the (OEM XTrememusic X-Fi )

Todays special offer is the Fatal1ty card reduced, which one should I go for? Xtrememusic or Fatal1ty?

I'm moving up from a Soundblaster Live! 24bit, so is the Fatal1ty worth it over the Xtrememusic?

Also I have a wavemaster case so i think the front panel will be a waste, is it 100% ncessary for the functioning of the card?

I would go for the OEM. Unless you have things that plug into the front panel (other audio devices, headphones) and plug/unplug things often the front panel isn't really useful. Xram is a bit pointless. Remote control is a novelty, unless it's a HTPC. In fact cables round the back are better way of doing it, once it's plugged in out of the way. If you've got a "door" type case that means leaving the door open, asking for trouble with leads dangling on the front of the case also.

The headphone output is the most useful connection on the front panel though- would prefer 6.25mm jack. Decide for yourself if you'll use all these connections enough to justify the Fatality.

Personally I would have preferred a large box that could be placed ontop of the desk, as a switching box.
