what to look for in new graphics card?

im looking a graphics card for around the £100 mark, what do i need to look for spec wise i have started to do more gaming than usual and want to upgrade my graphics card around £100 mark my spec as follows, will be upgrading to i5 in near future. thanks for looking

The 265 is the better option if you absolutely have to buy new, if not you would be better looking for a used 7950 or r9 280, which would be a massive leap in performance for similar money.

would prefer to buy new not sure bout going second hand, would you recommend going second hand for the 7950 or the r9 280?
 
I'd say don't let the idea of second hand put you off, but if you would still rather buy new then this 750ti looks to be about the best for your budget (low profile). However, if you are happy to spend a smidge over that, then a 265 would be my choice. Your psu is an excellent one btw.

Edit : having said that (:D), if you were going to spend slightly more than your initial budget, then you may as well spend another few pounds and graduate to the 270.

So, to summarise, either go second hand, get a 750ti or stump up a little more for a 270.

thanks it was a psu recommended by another member on here i didnt have a clue which one to get lol ! its all a big learning curve to me atm! think i will try and get the r9 270 but if not it will be the 265 dual x
