What to look for when buying a Fabia vRS?

Hi,

My brother is looking at buying a Fabia vRS soon. Is there anything special to look for other than the usual for the Fabia?

I hear they've been putting nasty, noisy, smelly old diesel engines in some of them in the hope that customers wouldn't notice. Try to watch out for those

Look for old generation, small, old peoples hatchback with diesel engine but with added bodykit and fanboy hysteria

Lol, well I have tried to persuade him otherwise but he doesn't want a 'big' car. Plus diesel for all the huge saving

in fuel. I have tried. So yes, anything to look out for with them?

Ignore Fox, unless it's a BMW or Mondeo, he thinks it's rubbish, a Mondeo is last generation, just because it's a Skoda ffs, you're such a ponce, just let people buy what they want ffs, why don't you get a life, "Posts: 51,978" do you ever leave the forum? Loads of info over on briskoda.net. Things to look out for are leaky door seals which seems to be a major problem but I've not had any problems with mine over the last year.

You do realise he has a gf right? Plus it is slow for what it is meant to be really, could get a better specced car for the same price. I agree with Fox, it isn't the best of choices. But it is what he wants so thats what he will buy.

I used to have a fabia vrs, I now drive a mk3 mondeo zetec!

The fabia was a good little car but I couldn't get on with the handling. It felt like there was far too much weight on the front wheels. I find the mondeo a much better car.
