What to look for when buying memory

Well im looking to buy a 2gb kit within the next month to run along side what i hope to be a opteron 170.

Though im a bit stuck on what to buy. I have brushed over the memory threads and still dont know exactly what to look for and whats best to have.

Theres tight timings, high bandwidth etc etc and im not sure whats the best to go for.

Can anyone shine some light on here and help me out. The rest of my computer knowledge is pretty good, memory is the only place i trip up.

I will be planning to overclock at some point, though i dont know how to. I will be playing a lot of games and doing a lot of rendering and i wanna spend somewhere around £150

kk cheers for the advice guys, but what if im not able to get the opteron 170 and have to go for something like the x2 4400+ will it still be a great choice?
