I have BT infinity (so a seperate modem) and was wondering if replacing the HomeHub 2 is recommended and if it is can anyone suggest what to replace it with.

I was thinking Asus DSL-N55U but not sure it's worth it or will infact work better than the HomeHub 2.

As an existing customer you can get the new HH5 for under £50 I believe. A lot of people here will recommend the Asus N56U which I own.

There may be some devices in the pipeline which are modem and router in one device. I'm keeping an eye out for news on a new such device from TP-Link TD-W9980, also compatible with adsl. If it ever comes to market it might be good also for people who have adsl now but are considering a move to fibre when it becomes available to them.

Also better off going with the HH5 as BT like to offer 0 support at all if they even get a wiff that your not using their kit.

Cool, thanks for the feedback guys, may buy one then as I'm sick of the 2 plug sockets being used for the modem and HomeHub as it's in the kitchen (where the phone line comes in by the back door).
