Like many others I have been looking forward to the release of Fermi only to be disappointed at the launch and have been considering which way to go. 480, 470, 5890, 5870, 5850

I now really need to decide what to do though as my outstanding 8800GTX has bitten the dust with red artifacts and graphics driver crashes if even so much as consider more than Windows desktop and word.

The great news is I have an EVGA card (bought approx. 3.5 years ago) and because I registered it within 30 days of purchase and have the receipt it is under 10 year warranty :D. I have contacted EVGA and they have been great so far but we will see once they have tested the card.

Now I get to the point.....
Does anyone know what I am likely to receive from EVGA via RMA?

There's another member asked about EVGA RMA yeseterday as well. He RMA a 8800GT, but EVGA got no 8800/9800GT, so they offered him a GTS250 512MB (which is a 9800GTX+ rebranded). I'm guess you would get offered the same, or a GTX260 if you are REAL lucky.

Thanks Marine
Pretty much as I expected then and I figure I may as well go ahead and buy a good replacement now rather than a cheap interim.
Anyone tried to install a 5970 in a P180 case?

When I RMA'd my 8800GTX (with BFG) they didn't have any either, but I got sent a GTX280 which was amazing lol, however I'm looking to sell it now so I can get 2x 5850s :).

installed 5870 in Antec p182, won't fit the drive cages, so had to live without it. 5970 will just extend into the drive cage area
