Hi all

I'm after a little bit of advice.

I have 2 trips coming up, both to New York, both for a full week.

I was just wondering what people use to store photos on when traveling?

I have a 32GB SD card, and will be getting a couple more.

There is an Apple event later this month, where I hope that a new retina iPad mini will be launched. If this is the case a 64GB one of them would be great for storing photos whilst traveling, plus viewing them.

I didn't want to have to take a laptop along with me, for the hassle it would bring really.

Can I have your thoughts please?

Just a few memory cards IMO. I took around 55gb of photos in a week in Bulgaria so if you have at least 128gb of cards I doubt you'd need more, unless you shoot with a d800.

as above, i've done a couple of three week trips and loads of two week trips and never needed to go beyond memory cards. They are cheap, robust and reliable personally I'm a big fan of multiple smaller cards just in case of theft, loss or failure as 99% of the time when I'm on holiday it is somewhere I will never return to so loosing a 32gb or 64gb card would be much harder to swallow.

This summer we spent three weeks in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and I got by with 7-8 8GB cards quite happily shooting RAW on the 5dmkii.
