A mate in work who I'm pretty close to has recently lost a mate to a car crash and I can't be at the funeral but want to send her a supportive text on the day of the funeral, but can't think of anything that doesn't cheesy. Any ideas?

Now I have no idea what to do, I know she's an emotional person so calling her on the day might not be the best idea, I also have no idea when the funeral is so wouldn't want to chance it.
Think I might just phone her the day after, when I know I won't be phoning in the middle of something (or would phoning the day after seem like, ooppps, forgot to call her?).
