Ill have some money to upgrade my PC with to last me through until march current Spec is:

P4 3.00
Asus MoBo (£50) 6 Months ago
1GB Value Ram
nVidia 6800GS (AGPx8)
2x 160GB IDE HDD

What should I upgrade, I use it at the moment for Web creation, VB, Music, Films and some mild gaming. I have £100 to spend, not interested in Vista until 1st big patch.

TIA Cheers

It all looks fairly well balanced. Do you notice any slowdowns when doing anything in particular?

Not really its a speedy machine. Slows down when opening PS CS2 and having Macromedia suite open but no it doesnt slow down. I have had a few crashes recently and just recently installed XP again.

Potentially another 1gb Ram is all I can really see that might make any difference but you can't really transfer the Ram to a new system easily so my recommendation is probably just to save the money and put it towards something you need. :)

You could get a better cooler a do a little overclocking, assuming the board has some decent overclocking options.

Think I'd go with another gig of ram too...

not much point overclocking those 3gig P4s as you won't notice any real difference other than in synthetic benchies until you hit +25% (at which point you'd need some insane cooling and high vcore)

I'll agree with the sound ideas, I don't own one (yet) but I've seen far too many reviews of awesomeness for the soundblaster X-Fi's. Since music and movies is one of your uses I'd say it would be a decent upgrade. Plus, you'd be able to take it over to your new pc when you upgrade in March.

The Xtreme music card is only £50 aswell, so you'd have some cash leftover for random other uses.

Go out and get drunk :D

But really though probably a gig of RAM but then again, its pretty pointless as you will be upgrading in March

if i had 100 quid, id get medusa 5.1 surround headset, and a cheap soundblaster, deffinetly worth it
Definatly not worth it, the quality is decent granted but give it a year and your headphones will snap, like has happend to me and many others the ear just breaks away from the headband, a waste of money, especialy when you can get some decent stereo headphones for the same price that sound much better and use simulated surround

The customer support for the Medusa's is worse then Creatives for X-fi's (if you have issues).

I wouldnt opt to buy either 2 items.

As keeps getting echo'ed, spend it on memory.

Grab yourself an Audigy 2 ZS on the cheap, here on the MM or the other popular auction site, much less likely to having crackling and popping issues.

Im starting to think down the soundcard route aswell maybe spending £60 and then going out getting smashed.

As for monitor I have 19 Inch Hanns G which I got in September so its fine + i got a 26 Inch LCD sitting above my PC.

Cheers
