Hi guys, I am an absolute novice when it comes to upgrades. Here is what I have at the moment:

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Mobo: X58A-UD3R
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz, 3060 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: Corsair XMS3 6.00 GB
GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6870 1024MB
PSU: Corsair TX750W
SSD: 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive
Case: Antec902
Cooler: Corsair Hydro H70 high performance CPU Watercooler

Now I have about £500 to play with and I want to be able to play the latest games at a medium to high quality. Is this possible with my current mobo or am i looking at upgrading the lot? Are there any bottlenecks that I could upgrade for a noticeable increase in performance?

Many thanks for the advice, sounds like I wont need to be spending too much!

I was thinking about getting a GTX670 and maybe sticking another 6GB of ram in. Do i need to get exactly the same speed Ram as what is already in there? The mobo is triple channel and I have 3x2GB already in.

I think the RAM will have to be the same speed, yes.

The GTX 670 is a great card. Get that and overclock you CPU and it will last you a long while.
