What to upgrade on a budget.

So I have a smallish budget of around 500 to upgrade my pc, but dont know what to keep or what to upgrade.

Current spec is :-

ASUS P5QL Pro
4GB DDR2 OCZ Gold
Intel Core2Duo E8400
512MB HD4870
Corsair VX550w PSU

Various Hard Drives but these will be kept no matter what I upgrade.

So whats the best bang for buck upgrade?

What do you use the PC for?

What case do you have?

Are all your derives (including optical) SATA?

Case is the Dragonlord K62, all of the hard drives are SATA apart from one 1TB one (has a lot of pics/vids of my daughter on it)

PC is used mainly for some games WoW/Diablo3/GTAIV and some others nothing too high end.

Not to mention you gain DX11 with the new GFX card and you can overclock the 3570K upto say 4.5Ghz etc.
