Well I will be upgrading early new year, but am not sure exactly what to go for. My 2 options are:
Uppgrade to Conroe. Of course it means new mobo/CPU/RAM. Currently I'm running an AMD 4000+, an Asus A8R-MVP and 2 GB geil RAM. I am considering the upgrade not just for the sake of it, but I have to do a fair amount of video editing in my course, and video rendering, and I'm sure a conroe would cut down the days it takes my current CPU.
My other option is to get a nice Dell 24". This is because I have a ps2 and a Wii, but can't use them at uni due to not having a TV, and my current monitor only has one DVI and one VGA input. It also means I'll have a *working* (don't ask) card reader and usb slots.
Obviously both are going to set me back a bit, so I'd prefer just the one. Which do you think would be better?
