A while back I built myself an amd rig to play about with windows 7 and it's kind of turned into my main gaming machine now so looking to see how I can get some more perfromance out of it.

currently it is

amd x4 be (unlocked x2 550) running at 3.5ghz
OCZ Platinum AM3 4GB
Samsung EcoGreen F2 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
x2 HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 1024MB GDDR3 CF
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P
Xigmatek Scorpion HDT-S1283 Heatpipe Cooler
OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w Silent SLI Ready Modular Power Supply

Any suggestions on what to upgrade, my intial thoughts are to get SSD's to replace the samsung as it's a very slow hd, maybe getting a couple of 5770 or another 4870 and grabbing the one from the rig in my sig to up date the CF.

Not that I am having any real issues with the above rig but I haven't upgraded either of my pc's in nearly two months and am starting to get withdrawl symtoms :) and the fact that I recently used the bay to off load all my old components and stuff taking up room i find myself in the position of having 300 odd notes the wife doesn't know about that need disposing of :D

get a 5850 , get a new HD but i dont think SSD are worth the money if ur just using it for gaming

I would say get a 5770 and crossfire if ya want, 1 will be fine also get a Samsung f3 1tb to solve your hdd problems as they are near ssd speed but lots less and lots more room.
