Apart from the mobo which im deffo getting ( p5q deluxe ) what would you upgrade in the rig in my sig?

New case? Currently got a Coolermaster 335 but fancy an antec 600

Blu-Ray RW - 25 - 50Gb backup sounds good to me

Cant think of much more id want as ive pretty much ruled out going for a new i5/i7/x6 rig unless i can pick up a bargain bundle from MM

The only upgrade id reccomend mate, is one youve already planned. The p5q deluxe, best clocking board for s775 cpu's. I had one, great board to oc on.

Yep and i thought that as i was facing a rebuild anyway i may as well get it in a new case :p

What case have you currently?

Coolermaster 335. I didnt really like the Antec 600 until my dad got one and now i want one as it was a great case to work with and looks great in the flesh i thought. Tho i was gutted to be installing his aging socket 939 setup into it :p

Hopefully i have a good chip, it posts at 3.8 on my 750i board but just BSODs on boot, probably the board crapping out, hopefully on the P5Q i can get 3.6 with the RAM at 800Mhz. The CPU VID is 1.215v

I dont really want to buy more RAM as that will be RAM + mobo, may as well go the whole hog and get a new chip as well :p

The forum seemed to go down for maintainance, or at least thats what it told me when pressed submit reply :p

Well ive managed to pick up a P5Q-E board, E6300 CPU, 4Gb PC8500 and a Tuniq Tower 120 on MM for £142 :cool

So my CPU plus that board, RAM and cooler should make for a decent overclock. Plus i'll have my current board, RAM and the E6300 to sell on as a bundle meaning the whole upgrade is likely to cost very little :D

Meatloaf, I have a similar system although I've got my CPU running at 3.6GHz :)

I recently purchased a Sandforce SSD and response time is much quicker without the hard disk bottle necking. Money is well spent went you can noticeably see the difference an upgrade makes. An SSD is a must.

Got one mate got a Vertex 2 last month:)

New stuff has arrived, now sitting very nice at 3.6 with the RAM @ 1066Mhz

Couldnt use the tuniq tho as it wouldnt fit, my PSU is in the way
