hello

ive got a E8400@ 4.2

and a 5770

what should i upgrade first for gaming? cpu or gpu

also what lga775 quads run cool (or cooler than a q6600)

On my HTPC (PhenomII B50 quad at 3.1GHz + 5770) the 5770 is the bottle neck for games.

What power supply are you running and hows your cases cooling?
 
so a 5770 gets about £70 approx in the MM?

so £120-130, will only get you a GTX460, which while being faster, isn't the "OMG WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE" you might expect.
 
Ye was thinkin that would be about my budget. But as you said its not goin to be anything special of a up grade. Seen the 460 on another forum for 80 but mite be sold. Always the option to go sli then
 
well the board specs say it does crossfire at 8X/8X for both slots, so thats a bonus that they both get the same speed when two cards are inserted.

time to go hunting for a 5770 me thinks?

Not a massive fan of a ati drivers are always stopping. First card from them..

Could sell this one for a little more its a good clocker

need to way up

another 5770 £70 + driver issues

£30-40 gtx460 (second hand)
