Hi all,

My system
q6600 @3.2 ghz
ip35 pro mobo
8800gtx
4gb ddr2 800 mhz

I use the first series Samsung lcd 1080p tv as my monitor (colours pretty crap).
I dunno whether to go for the Dell 24" Ultra sharp monitor or upgrade my GFX card?

I think the GPU upgrade depends on whether you can play the games you want with your card . Oh and whats your upgrade budget ?

I mainly play bc2 everything high except shadows low and hbao off. Runs about average 40 fps maybe a little lower.
I had my eye on the Asus gtx 580 :)

Btw my TV is 40".

The TV size is irrelevant, its the resolution is can display thats important, which is I guess 1080?

do you have a good psu for a GTX580?

750W - should be fine?

Yea 1080P

What make psu? there is a huge quality difference between a named maker such as Corsair/Antec/coolermaster etc, and something which costs £20 from the market.

A GTX580 or even a GTX570 will be great for that resolution.

I was waiting for some newb to suggest that, if the OP can afford a GTX580? then why not get the fastest single gpu card on the market.

I just recommended it so he could save himself a few quid because they aren't that much far away from each other performance wise and it uses less power and runs a tad bit cooler .

This how you sound right now. "DOH. I'm going to recommend this good fellow something which isn't as good as to what he can afford."
