Hi all,

If any of you were following my last thread, you will know i asked for a build idea, to which you guys promptly gave me a great list of things to grab. The build was done and im trying to get an idea of what i should upgrade/get ready to upgrade first. Im thinking maybe the GFX card will need doing first but not sure. Spec is, for those who didnt see :)

i5 3570k @ 3.4ghz | 2GB Sapphire 7850 | 8GB Crucial DDR3 @ 1.6Ghz | Asus Extreme z77 | Tagan 900w | Samsung 128GB SSD | Samsung 1TB HDD | Running on Win7 64bit

I have no aftermarket cooling as of yet so havnt looked into overclocking (to which i know NOTHING :))

What resolution do you game at? If at 1080p I don't think that anything needs upgrading at all. The GPU will probably be the first thing to upgrade but I doubt it is necessary.

I would get an aftermarket cooler and overclock the CPU though (and the GPU)

These are all good coolers (varying prices ofc) the phanteks come in several colours so choose one to match your other colours perhaps. Overclocking the CPU is very easy these days just have a look at youtube by searching for your CPU + mobo and there will definitely be a video that talks you through it.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E CPU Cooler (Socket LGA 2011/1366/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA775/AM2/AM3/FM1) £74.98

Sweet. Thanks guys. I use the highest res possible. I def need to upgrade my monitor as it only allows for 1280x1024

So new monitor > new cooler > utube some oc vids > gfx card in the distant future

I do not know what will be your budget for new monitor but if you have enough money go for "Yamakasi Catleap Q270" ;) Amazing monitor for the price and it supports up to 2560x1440 ;)

Id prob spend about 150, 200 at a push. Im not after something amazing, i dont require 3d and all that jazz. Just usual connections and maybe built in speakers, i generally use my turtle beeches tho.
