Hello,
I'm after a bit of advice. I only really use my computer to browse the web and play battlefield 3 (and quakelive but thats not an issue
)
Battlefield does run a little slow in certain places so ive decided on an upgrade.
I currently have a Phenom 965@ 3.8Ghz and a trusty old AMD 5850. Now from what ive seen the CPU is less important in this game with the GPU being most important so I was thinking of upgrading the GPU. However... my friend also has a 5850 which I have tried in crossfire. When theres no action its definitely faster but as soon as I see some intense action it runs about the same speed as a single 5850 (looking at fraps).
So im confused, is the Phenom bottlenecking it or would a faster GPU be better (was looking at a 7950).
I cant afford both
My system:
Phenom II [email protected]
Powercolour 5850
8 Gig 1600 ram (cant remember which brand)
Asrock 970 Extreme 3 AM3+ Motherboard
