Patriot Viper (2x4GB) 1866MHz (just ordered)
GTX 460 hawk
500gb HDD
PSU  OcUK bargin bin

I was going to build an ITX system but decided against it, The ITX system cash will be put into this to make it better.

so got a new case and some better ram(was running 2gb)
what needs to be upgraded for BF3, COD MW2 and so on

A better power supply for starters. I'm certain others on here will agree.
An SSD will speed load & response times too.

GTX 460 is going to be stretched a bit in BF3 1080p ultra quality. Even if you drop down to 1,680 x 1,050 it could struggle. COD MW2 should be OK though.

i game @ 720 on high so should be ok?

as for the SSD will any 60gb do or should i go for 120 or even two cheap 60's in raid?
PSU, now i know the price can rocket on them, what is a good braided PSU for some one on a budget, i know my system is not a power monster but the noise of mine is doing my head in anyway so 100% need one

lol there always as to be a budget :p

mmm... right now i have 250 that i could burn but dont want to wax the lot on a PSU and SSD

XFX PSU is very good. A full modular is better and little more expensive but worth it.

Yeah I agree if you can push it to a fully modular then go for it :). However if you use all the cables which are not removable anyway then theres not much point spending the extra.

I've got the one I posted and its great. I think I can hear a slight coil whining but could just be me.
